Brooke Shields is an American actress and model who gained prominence as a child star.  She is known for her roles in films like Pretty Baby and The Blue Lagoon, and for her iconic Calvin Klein jeans campaign.  Beyond her early career, Brooke has continues acting in various film, television, and Broadway productions. She's also authored books, including memoirs and works on postpartum depression.  In addition to her professional career, Brooke is the founder of Commence and continues to be a strong advocate for women's issues and aging.
